Happy 14th

Now that Grant is home we were able celebrate his birthday.  We got together with family on Sunday.  That happened to be our New Year's Eve celebration since church was cancelled due to ice.  It was nice to spend time together, and also get headed home before everything got too icy!  

Grant wanted a red velvet bundt cake.  I think it turned out great for my first red velvet cake :)

Grant is a great kid!  He is growing up, yet still loves to play more than anything!  He is great with little kids and making up games!  We love our Grant and the joy he brings to our family!

New Year's Adam Fun!

Grant got home from mountain man campout and was frozen.  It was a freezing week and he was happy to be home.  I told him to go take a nap... he was very happy to oblige.  After a good nap and dinner it was time to start getting ready for the New Year's Eve Dance... or rather, New Year's Adam, since Adam comes before Eve :).  This was Grant's first dance!  It was so cute to see him all ready.  Talmage, Ella, and Grant all went together.  They had a fun night!

Mountain Man!

With Talmage still being out of commission with his cast, he didn't get to go to the mountain man rendezvous campout.  He was pretty bummed.  It was a pretty cold week, but Grant was still game to go.  He was pretty cold the whole time, accept for sleeping.  He had a great time, even if he could only talk about being cold when he got home :).  He got to make a wooden mallet and shape a totem pole.  Their group was recognized with the most awards out of all of the troops.  Grant was sure glad to come home and take a nap!

4-H Christmas Party!

We attended the Ellis County Christmas Party this year.  The cousins came too so that was fun.  They had lots of games and music.  The kids loved playing tag like, last year.  While we were at the party Jeff was out to dinner with his parents and siblings.  I'm glad they got to spend time together!

Exhausted

Life these days is pretty exhausting.  I found Daddy sleeping and the kids had put their little animals to cuddle with.  All of the long hours at work and then working at home sure is tiring! 

Progress

Time to get the wiring run to the island!  Jeff got the conduit installed and then we ran the wires.  

The kids enjoyed getting to play their new game!  Making progress on getting along and including siblings ;)

It was a cold week when Grandma and Grandpa made it to town.  They came very bundled!!  Grandpa looks like a snowman!

Wired!

We got the wiring run to the island ... and it's cemented over!  So glad to have that step done!

Christmas Time!

For Christmas Eve we got together at Nathan and Tiffany's house to enjoy the holiday and exchange presents!  The kids enjoyed sharing presents with their cousins.  Tiffany and I got Nathan and Jeff remote controlled sumo wrestlers.  We finally got batteries and we enjoyed watching them tip each other over!  Such a fun time!

Everyone got a new large stuffed animal!  I almost forgot to get them out.  Good thing Daddy reminded me.  It was a great time to see everyone so excited by their new animal!  They also enjoyed opening all of their other presents that included new pjs, blankets, watches, etc.

Sink Relocation

After our plumber cancelled on us... and calling around trying to find another plumber, we finally got the sink moved to the window!  It was kind of crazy to realize how busy plumbers are during the holidays!  I'm so glad they were able to come and get the pipes moved and complete in 1 day.  They left the line open so we could lay electrical line to our island before they cemented it closed.  They were so fast and clean too!  Here are some pictures of the progress moving the line.  When they were done the fridge water line wasn't in the right spot and I didn't catch it so they had to come back out to move it.  Overall they did a fabulous job!
