Saturday Continued

The kids tried to help scrub the pool ... while I'm waiting for the fixes from the pool store.  Let's just say that a little scrubbing isn't going to fix the pool this time ;)

On to the Mhari's soccer game!  It is fun to watch her play!  Her team has been doing so well this season!

The Dump

While Jeff's parents were in town they helped us get a load to go to the dump.  It was nice to get closer to clear out our garage.  We ended up with cousin helpers too.  Between the dump run and soccer games it was a pretty busy Saturday!  We are grateful to have so many good helpers for our projects!

Counters, Sink, and ovens.... Oh MY!

We have had a very productive month for our kitchen!  We got our counters installed and even our sink!  It's like magic to have a sink in the kitchen after having it gone for 4 months!  I love my new faucet too!  The countertops are so beautiful!  We have had these picked out for months and I'm so glad they are in and look so clean and fresh.  

Last, but not least was getting the ovens hooked up!  Grandpa helped get the single unit installed and so now I have 3 ovens in my kitchen!  It's such a wonderful thing!  Now to find a backsplash that matches the counter... and that island top... hmmm.  

I'm still just so happy!

Pool Care

Having a pool sounded fun.  Let's just say it's been a lot more work than fun.  I am still trying to figure out what is going wrong.  I have taken all of the insides into the pool store to see if they can figure it out for me.  It also turns out that I am missing a rubber seal on the post that comes up inside the filter.  There is also a missing sock filter on the top of the manifold.  This filter has been a headache and I'm sure it's not over yet.  I'm not sure how much care I can keep putting into this pool!

Kids and Twins!

Our friend, Kayla, made this mat for us.  It is so cute... and so true :).  Talmage was too big to come for my feet picture though.

It was twin day at co-op and several of my kids dressed as twins with their friends.  It was super fun and so cute!

One of the best things about kids... is when they are helpful :).  Talmage needed to mow the lawn and was good to take Owen out and teach him about mowing.  It was so cute to watch him through the window :)

Sunday Fun!

Daddy started cuddling Talmage... which turned into Grant and Clark on top of Daddy... it was a funny sight!  Of course this turned into tickling and playing :).  Mhari and Lorna had fun doing fingernails and Sandra read.  It was a nice fun Sunday!

Tickle Time!

Soccer Saturdays!

Clark has been such a sport playing soccer.  He may not be the fasted kid on the team, but he has a great attitude and tries really hard.  He does great on defense, even if he prefers offense ;).  It's been fun to see his soccer skills develop!  His team is Indominous Rex.  Here he is enjoying playing!

Bass Boys Fishing!

For 4-H the Bass Boys came out to teach our club how to fish.  This was an awesome opportunity since our kids have really wanted to learn how to fish.  I think the trick after all of the teaching and practicing is to have the right size hooks for what you are fishing and good worms as bait :).  All of the kids caught at least one fish so it was a pretty successful day!  Talmage and Grant were off on a campout so they missed all of our fishing fun.

Hike Fun

During Spring Break we went with Tiffany and the cousins on a hike around Lake Worth.  We found the trailhead and headed out.  While hiking we had a hard time following the trail markers.  It wasn't long before we were lost!  We did manage to find our way out to the main road so we could walk back to the parking lot where we started.  Finding hiking trails isn't always that easy... and this reminds me of why I don't enjoy hiking where I've  never been before.  We were supposed to be down near the lake so when we headed out we drove down to a spot by the lake to hang out for a while.
