It's Raining ...

It's Hailing!  It was crazy how much little hail we got!  You just never know what to expect with this Texas weather!

 

Heart Attack Fun!

With life getting shut down we wanted to make sure that our friends knew how much we love them. We visited many friends, Neelam Zahid, Hull family, Crumpton, McCrary, Eldredge, Baileys, and more.  It was so fun to get "heart attacked" by the Hulls.  Having to stay separated from people we love is not fun.  Hopefully this won't last long and we can be together again soon!  The kids loved dressing up as the t-rex!  

 

Chica in a Tree

Our live oak tree started to grow new shoots on it's big branches.  Our little Chica girl climbed up with the clippers to take care of them.  She's a handy girl!

Food Cravings

Tiffany and I have started a new eating program, HCG.  We are trying to eat better and lose some weight.  This is a pretty strict eating program.  We will only be on 500 calories a day and will cut out all dairy, sugar, wheat and such.  It is time to get back to a healthy body.  The first few days of the program you get to eat yummy food to load up on fats.  I enjoyed my last day of lasagna.  I kind of felt like I was breaking up with food.  By the time I cut out the calories I was ready to let go of food.  Tiffany and I are meal prepping together to support each other on this journey.  One of the meals I prepped was the spinach stuffed chicken.  It was so good!  I'm looking forward to eating the new yummy food and letting go of the old habits I have been stuck in. 

 

Home Gym

With everything being shut down ... still, gymnastics started back up for Lorna via Zoom.  It was fun to watch Lorna do her gymnastics at home.  She is getting pretty good!  I know that she doesn't love zoom class, but it's a blessing to try to keep some normalcy during these strange times.  

 

Testing Time

It was fun to do the Iowa Skills Testing this year.  The kids did so well and have really progressed.  Lorna and Clark both read the reading portions really well too.  It's fun to see them learning!

 Math time!

Jam'n

I am so happy that it's jam season again!  I made several batches.  They are so beautiful!  I wonder how long it will be before the kids eat it all gone!  I'm glad they love jam as much as I do :)

 

H Braces

We had a productive day getting the H braces set up around the pig pen.  Everyone worked hard helping out.  Jeff learned how to use the fence strainer and we got everything tightened up!
