Fruits of our Labors

Well, not so much fruit as a vegetable.  This is our harvest from our container garden.  We have been watering some serrano peppers, tomatoes and the yellow squash.  This is the first squash we have harvested.  It's nice to get something from the garden, even if it is slow going!  Here's hoping we get lots of other yummy vegetables as the summer goes on!

 

The Big 12

It's hard to believe this little cutie joined our family 12 years ago!  He was a month early and so tiny!  Well, tiny to me anyway, weighing in at 7lb 14 oz.  He's just been growing ever since!  He's sweet and funny!  He loves to play and loves animals!  We love you, Clark!  We will do dessert with the girls when they come back to town!

 

Jurassic World

With the girls gone to FSY, Jeff and I took the 2 youngest out to the movies for Clark's birthday.  We went and saw Jurassic World!  It was good.  Clark is a bit obsessed with all things Jurassic right now so I'm glad we got to take him out for something extra special!

 

FSY!

Mhari and Sanra got to go to FSY (For the Strength of Youth) Conference this year!  It was held at UNT.  Sandra got to room with Savanah Hull and Mhari roomed with Caitlyn Brems from the ward.  I know they had a great time!  I also know I don't have all the info or photos to tell their story.  I just wanted to say how great it was to have them go and get to experience FSY!  They had a great time!

 

Exhausted

The kids are back!  Jeff is back!!  Oh man it's nap time!  I'm glad to have everyone home again!  Poor guy is exhausted!

 

Boys Camp

This year for Boys Camp the bishop organized a trip to Houston.  They spent a day at the beach and a day at NASA.  Then they went to a baseball game.  They rented a house and Clark was a good little dude and encouraged the kids to keep the place clean ;).  It was a quick trip, but the kids had fun!  I'm glad Jeff got to go with them and build these memories with Clark!  It was kind of strange to have everyone gone but Lorna.  We had some fun girl time while everyone was gone!

Girls Camp Drop Off

This year for Girls' Camp they rented out space at the local college.  The girls got to stay in the dorms and have fun in downtown Tyler.  They ended the last day at Tyler Lake to cool off.  I think they had a great time.  It was strange to be down to just one girl!  Stay tuned for a photo dump from the fun things they did!

 

Blue Eyes

After just one short year in glasses, Mhari has joined the contact club!  She was so happy to get contacts!  Lucky for her she got them right before girls camp!  She is just growing up too quickly!

 

Pounding Away

Time to keep working on fencing!  The missionaries have been so helpful to get our next pasture under way.  If we can set up the h braces and t-posts, then we are prepared for them to come work on Saturday.  With Sandra's work schedule she's not available to work at the ranch very often.  Looks like it's time for the younger kids to step up!  This was Mhari's first time using the t-post pounder.  Also, Clark's first time leveling the t-posts.  It wasn't perfect, but we got the job done!
