Firework Party!

 

We invited a bunch of friends over to the ranch for fireworks!  We decided to do it on the 30th so that we didn't interrupt people's New Year's Eve plans.  It was also nice because it's so dark that we were all done and cleaned up by 8 pm!  Doing fireworks in the winter is my favorite thing!  We had the area by the well house set up with hot chocolate so that was perfect too!  The fireworks lasted about a half hour!  Jeff and Clark did a great job!  I think everyone had a great time!  Hopefully we will be able to continue this tradition for many years to come!

Merry Christmas!

It was a very squishy Christmas!  It was also Sunday, so we only had an hour of church at 11.  It was a nice morning opening presents.  Then we finished off the celebration at church remembering Jesus Christ and his birth.  We also got to talk with Talmage and Grant together.  That was really nice.  I think they enjoyed their Christmas presents as well.  

 

Spiffy

Grandpa got the outside lights up and working on the well house.  It's nice to have electricity that's hooked up for lights at night!  I also was able to get the outside trim boards up around the well house too.  It's looking so good!

Then later that week, with the help of the elders (especially Maloney), we got the metal roof on!  Jeff's brother Aaron came out to help too.  It's so nice to have this all buttoned up!

 

17 Years!!

Sandra is 17!  Where has the time gone?  She is busy working at Chick-Fil-A and doing school with BYUI concurrent enrollment.  She enjoys volleyball, mustangs, art, and trying new things!  She picked eclairs for her birthday dessert.  We had fun learning how to make them together!  I think they turned out pretty good! 

It's crazy how fast the kids are growing up!

 

Cow Drama

The Elders come out and help at the ranch on Saturdays.  Last Saturday Elder Dino left his sweatshirt.  Lorna was thankful since she forgot hers at home and was cold.  We sent him the photo as a ransom.  He even got transferred so the sweatshirt is lost forever.  I'm sure we will find a way to get it back to him :).  

The other fun story is the cows.  There was a bull and a cow that was on our property.  We tried to scare them off, but they just wouldn't go.  We finally found out who the owner was and we were able to work with them to trap the cows so she could pick them up and haul them off.  I guess the girl wasn't even hers, but the bull liked her enough to follow her.  It was an exciting day figuring out how to get the cows loaded up in her trailer!  Everything turned out well in the end!

 

Silly Chica

Sandra recently bought this squishmallow.  It is a flipamallow so it has 2 sides - the penguin and a parrot.  She named the Parrot Jack Sparrow, and the Penguin William Turner.  So funny!  Then she put it on her head and was dancing around!  I just had to grab a few photos for posterity :).  We love you sweet Chica!

 

Happy 15!

Our sweet Mhari is 15!  She is a hard worker and a lover of animals!  She loves to create, especially crocheting.  She is growing up so fast!  We love you Punkin!  

Roof Workers!

Some of us worked on painting white on boards and sliding gates at the handling facility, while others worked on the roof.  Overall it was a very productive day!  Mhari enjoyed being on top of the roof putting in boards with the nailer.  What could be better on your birthday?  She was a great trooper up on the roof, helping Grandpa!  Just about ready for the roof!
