Spooked

There was a storm last night.  I think something spooked our yearling bison.  One made it through the barbed wire into the next pasture.  Luckily, we are great at fixing barbed wire and we got it all sorted out.  You just never know what to expect when you show up for ranch chores!

 

Grazing!

One of the best sights is buffalo grazing in a pasture!  I love that there is just enough grass to let them enjoy it.  A little break from hay is sure nice too!

 

Clean Up

 

Our Well house is so awesome!  Unfortunately, because it's closed in, it's so easy to drop our junk inside the door and not put things away where they go.  The kids helped me clear out the trash and put things in order.  It looks much nicer now!

Growth!

After a long hot summer and a cold winter, the pasture grasses are starting to grow!  It was fun to explore the lower part of pasture 7 and see how beautiful it is right now!  Sandr was good enough to model for my photos :)

 

Strong Foundation

For the house project we have decided to go with the little building.  To make it work for our family we have decided to add onto the slab!  We are basically doubling its size and then connecting it up with the garage!  It's going to be great!  Jeff has really enjoyed getting to watch them work!  The first part is setting then they will do the step down the same level as the garage on the left.  It's looking so good!

 

Sunday Best

It was Stake Conference!  Jeff stayed home with Lorna who wasn't feeling well.  While at the stake center ran into one of the Elders from Palestine that has been helping out on the ranch!  Elder Maloney!  I almost didn't recognize him!  Amazing what a change ranch clothes to church clothes can be!  We love Elder Maloney and are so thankful for all he has done to help out on the ranch!  That roof on the well house went up so fast because he was up there getting it done!
