Happy New Years Eve

To celebrate New Years this year we cuddled up at home and watched the Lord of the Rings Extended Version.  It was a fun way to spend the evening.  It did take a few more days to actually finish it all though.  Good times!  Hello 2024!

 

Birthday Boy!

Happy Birthday to our 2nd born!  20 years old!!  We love you and are so proud of you!  Keep up the great work in Idaho!  We miss you and are looking forward to seeing you soon!!

 

6 Flags Fun?!

We started our fun at Batman!   Everyone had fun, they thought.  By the time we were in line for the next ride Clark and Lorna both agreed they liked Batman.  We waited quite a while for Mr. Freeze.  Unfortunately, right before getting on the ride shut down - power out!  We tried to get onto the Joker, but then they shut that down.  There was an hour or so with all the rides off.  We got some food and walked around the park.  The 2 big girls wanted to ride Texas Giant, so we waited in line for that while Clark and Lorna went to ride the antique cars.  Our ride was shut down after an hour of waiting in line, total bummer.  We settled over in Mexico.  The teacups opened so we rode that.  Then the pirate ship opened so we did that next.  Clark was not a fan of the height!   

The older girls and I rode Diablo, the 10-story high loop.  I thought I had secured all of my belongings, but my phone snuck out of my back pocket!  It fell while we were upside down!  When the ride was over another rider across the ride asked who lost their phone.  I couldn't believe it that my phone wasn't lost.  It had a messed-up screen (line down the lower section) but it still worked!  What a miracle!  Clark and Lorna ended up on the bobsled ride and then it was time to head home.  It was getting pretty cold, and we were all pretty tired. 

We will be back 6 Flags... and the rides better cooperate better!

Wee Nessy

Jeff got a Nessy squishmallow for Christmas (from me).  He loves it.  It was adorable when he was snuggled up in bed with it :).  Jeff is so fun!!  Love you!!

 

From Dad

Jeff has been promising to send the boys some bison poo since they left on their missions.  It was time to make good on that promise for Christmas.  He wrote a very thoughtful letter to help bring the spirit to the present.  Jeff is more than just a silly Dad!  He's the best Dad!!

 

Christmas!

Christmas was pretty simple this year.  We talked to Talmage and Grant, which was great.  The kids enjoyed their presents.  I think their favorite present was the season passes to 6 Flags!  We got to spend the afternoon at the ranch working on the house.  It's nice to be together and remember the birth of our Savior!  Merry Christmas to everyone!

 

Merry Christmas Eve!

Nathan and Tiffany invited all of the Williams families in Texas over for Christmas Eve.  The weather turned out perfect, so we spent a lot of time outside.  It was great to be together with family!  Ira, Jazmin and Joy were in town for Christmas, so it was awesome to see them too!    It was a lot of driving, but we had a nice time in the car talking about Christmas and traditions.  

 

Caroling

Lorna has been part of a homeschool Glee Club the last couple of months.  She has learned several songs and the group set up a caroling night as the finale for the semester.  It was great to go to so many friends' homes and share some Christmas Spirit.  Lorna loves Miss Lauren, her Glee Club teacher.  It was a fun night with friends!

 

Friends!

The Sagnimeni family invited us over to hang out over the Christmas break.  It was great to see the kids enjoying spending time with their friends.  Getting to hang out with my friend was even better :).  Even though we are a few hours apart it was like no time had passed!  We love great friends!

 

18!

Sandra got home from Idaho last night, just in time for her birthday!  We spent some time at the ranch working on windows and doors.  She was happy to spend the day using a nailer and being back at the ranch!  She opened presents and had a cheesecake for dessert!  Happy birthday to our sweet Chica!  It's hard to believe you are an adult now!  Where have the years gone? 

 

Passed!

Mhari took her driving test at DPS and passed!  Congratulations to Mhari!  This is the first kid to take the test at the DPS station.  She lost a few points, but nothing bad.  She had just learned to parallel park the week before!  We are so proud of her and all of her hard work!  Now to get a job so she can drive herself to seminary in the morning :)!
