Show Time!

We saw several shows while we were in Vegas.  One of the shows we went to was Nathan Burton.  He is a Magician and we weren't allowed to take pictures during his show.  The best part was when Matt came and picked Clark to help him.  He levitated Clark!  It was so cool!  Clark didn't even know what was happening.  He just thought he was laying down the whole time.  It was too bad they didn't take pictures of Clark because we would have bought one!

The other show we went to was Paul Zerdin. We had been following the show "America's Got Talent" and Paul had just won during the fall of 2015.  The kids really loved him.  I knew we had to take the kids when we went to Vegas!  He was funny, but it turned into a lot of adult humor so it wasn't as kid friendly.  That was really a disappointment.  The kids still had a good time, but I wouldn't spend the money again on that show.

We got moved up closer right before the show started.  It was nice to have good seats.  It also shows how many people were not at his show... if you could move a family of 8 up a whole section!

Blue Man Group!

While we were in Vegas we scheduled several shows to take the kids to.  Our first show was The Blue Man Group!  We had seen it when we went to Vegas for our anniversary and we knew the kids would love it too!  This was probably the most expensive show we went to, but it was by far the best one!  Our kids laughed and laughed!  At one point the audience around us was staring at our kids because they were laughing so hard!  If you ever end up in Vegas I would totally recommend going to the Blue Man Group show!

Here is Lorna and I before the show started.

After the show the Blue Men hang out to visit with the audience and take pictures!  We got some fun group shots and best of all we got some real blue paint as a souvenir!

We loved getting to have our own blue paint... even if some of the kids washed it off right away :)

Our first Limo Ride!

While we were at Vegas we ended up taking taxis to get to the strip.  With our huge family we ended up in 2 taxis to get where we needed to go.  One time we saw a limo and figured it was probably the same price as the 2 taxis, and we were right!  It was a great ride!  The kids had a blast too!  We tried to contact the driver later (who left us his number), but we never could connect again and ended up with multiple taxi rides.  Oh well, at least we can say we have been in a Limo now ;).

On our walk along the strip we stopped to get a family photo.  This was after our night at the Blue Man Group!  It was a fun night!

Family Vegas Trip!

Jeff had a conference in Las Vegas and we found some awesome airfare so we decided to take the whole family!  We flew out late Wednesday and stayed at the Wyndham Hotel.  It was just off the strip and our room had 2 bedrooms and a full kitchen!  The hotel even has a shuttle to the local grocery store.  That ended up saving us tons of money on food!  The hotel even had a game room and rented out movies too.  The pool was pretty fun, even though it was a bit cool for swimming.

At the game room they had video games, air hockey, pool, and even blocks for the little kids!

Wii!
We did make the mistake of listening to the time share presentation.  That was a bit of a nightmare and wasted morning.  We did score a gift card that paid for the kids souvenirs, so that was the only good thing that came from it.

Swimming, Vegas Style!

Thursday Jeff had a Hardware Show to attend so the kids and I hung out at the hotel.  That meant time to swim, since Jeff doesn't care much for it.  The weather was pretty cool, but not enough to deter our kids.  My favorite spot was the hot tub!  It was nice and toasty warm and the bubbles were awesome.  The kids liked it too!  Here are just a few pics of the fun the kids had at the hotel pool!

Little Lorna had her goggles upside down.  Such a cutie!

The pool had this awesome beach type of slope for the shallow end.  The kids spent a lot of time pretending to be seals ;)

Hairy Williams

Talmage really needed a hair cut.  He was getting pretty hairy!  I know lots of boys have longer hair than this, but not our boys.  Talmage tends to like his hair a little longer than Grant and so the last time I did boys hair cuts Talmage didn't want one.  When he was ready it was pretty shocking to see the before and after!
