Corrosion

The battery in Toothless stopped working.  I figured it was dead, until it started again the next day (all part of Talmage's adventures).  Then of course it didn't start again.  So I investigated and found quite the corrosion on the battery.  It's a good thing baking soda water works so well to clean it up!

 

Pig visit

Since we got the pigs to pasture we needed to make sure that the water set up is working.  I went up midweek to visit our piglets.  I brought a treat and they sure loved that!  We got a new feeder set up and checked on the leaking waterer.  The pigs are doing well, but it's getting hot and we don't want them to get dehydrated.  Here's hoping they do well on their pasture!

 

Hen Whisperer

Talmage's hens have been growing!  They aren't little chicks anymore!  One of his tricks is to let the hens sit on his shoulder, head, or back.  He's silly!

 

Pigs on Pasture

The pigs have been growing so well!  Their pig pen in the garage is starting to get cramped... and stinky!  Let's face it, if they didn't stink and have so many flies it wouldn't be so bad, but they do, and it is.  We decided we were done and we needed to take them to the ranch to live on their .02 acre pasture.  It was a hot day, but they survived the trip.  They settled in pretty easily and it felt great to see them happy and with space to enjoy!

This is also the weekend that the mulcher guy came out to clear out property lines and pasture lines so we can work on fencing.  He was out for 3 days and cleared a ton of stuff out!  It sure is nice to have things ready to make progress!  We can't wait to get our Bison!

 

Mulch'n Time

We hired a mulcher to come clean up the ranch property lines and thin out some of our pasture area.  He came and worked for 3 days!  This huge machine cleared out so much wood!  It was amazing to see it work!  It sure was nice to make so much progress so quickly!

Trailer Tires

One of the trailer tires got a hole in it from a nail at the ranch.  I got it fixed and then I got to put it back on the trailer.  I tried, but I couldn't get the drill fitted with the socket.  Jeff helped get it on and I got the trailer tire on.  It's amazing the things I'm still learning!

 

Donut Day!

While life may be a bit crazy... and unpredictable, Krispy Kreme still had a donut day, so we are doing alright :).  The kids enjoyed picking out whatever donut they wanted!  It was super bright outside, but otherwise there was no complaints!  Yay for sweetness :)
