The Power of Shock

Our pool has not been the same since Snovid.  With the broken pool pump we waited and waited for the part to be available so we could run the pump again.  It only took about 2 months.  It is so swampy that I'm nervous how long it will take to recover!  After a couple of days and lots of backwashing the pool is no longer a swamp.  Unfortunately, it's not fixed all the way though.  The pool pump had another part that was broken that wasn't obvious and now the pool robot "cleany" won't work.  Looks like this pool is going to take a bit more work to get back to beautiful!

Miracle Bread

I did it!  Ok, so I went over to my friend, Amanda's house and watched what she did with her bread.  There was something I was doing wrong.  I didn't work the bread enough for the shaping phase.  Literally I should have been kneading it down and getting the bread into the loaf shape.  I was too afraid to lose the height I had gotten that I never realized it was asking me to knead it again.  Now to keep it happening more than once!  I am seriously excited though!  It's so pretty, and yummy!

Pasture 7

The time has come to start fencing pasture 7!  It is a large area, but we only have to run fence on 3 sides.... and one of those sides we are just raising the fence.  This shouldn't be that bad!  Oh, and one reason it's going so well is the tractor auger!  It sure cuts through roots and clay better than that one man auger.  It is so pretty at the ranch these days!  It was fun to take some scenic shots.

Also, Jeff's parents are in town helping, and Jeff and his dad are so cute!  They sure can sleep :).

Sandra gets to work at the Renaissance Fair this year!  She will help in the kitchens - taking orders and passing out food.  She is so excited to go!  Aunt Tiffany, Uncle Nathan and cousins are also all going to be there.  I know that made this a lot easier for her to go.  That also means that we get to go to the ranch every Saturday, without her.  We will miss our Chica girl, but I'm sure she will have a great experience!

Beautiful Clouds

There was a huge storm moving through.  It was just the perfect timing with great lighting.  We didn't get much out of it for rain, but the photos were worth it anyway!

Sewing Sandra

It's so fun to see my daughters learn and grow in different skills!  Since Sandra is going to be working at the Renaissance Fair, she decided to make her skirt for her costume.  It was fun to help her with this simple project.  I also needed to hem Grant's suit pants.  Good timing, I would say :)

Hood Vent

After many years, the hood vent got installed!  Grandpa is so great to help with these house projects!  Grant was a good assistant and learned a lot!  So grateful to have one more thing done!
