Cleaning Day

Tiffany was kind enough to come over and help me clean!  She worked on floors while I focused on the kitchen and bathrooms.  Let's just remind you that there are 6 bathrooms in this house!  I will say I was quite busy.  Oh, and there were tons of floors for Tiffany as well since the house is over 5,000 sq ft! By the time I was done scrubbing each bathroom I decided it was a miracle we sold the house as the kids' bathrooms were pretty disgusting!  I wish the kids would have mentioned how bad the bathrooms had gotten.  I think the boys needed a new toilet seat to fix the problem in their bathroom.  I also never want to clean that big of a house again!  Let's just say I'm glad we are selling, and I don't miss our big, beautiful house!

Settling In

One of the best parts of moving is unpacking.  I love to get things settled into some set of normalcy as soon as possible.  There isn't nearly as much room as we are used to, so I had to get a little creative with shelves and what not.  It seems to be working out alright for now.  Hopefully we can adjust to the smaller living quarters pretty quickly :)

 

The Big Day

The day has come for the final move to Tyler area.  Savanah, the missionaries, and a few ward members came to help.  It was very appreciated.  It all packed up pretty well and we headed off Saturday morning.  The ward showed up with missionaries and a few other members to help unload.  That worked out really well as we didn't have that much stuff :). 

 

Our kids were such a great help!  It is crazy that we are out of the house.  Well, except that I have to come back Monday to clean :).

One Last Project!

Before moving there was a list of projects to complete.  One of those projects was to replace the posts on the back patios.  I got the new posts and then they waited.  Luckily, we finished them right before the move.  Jeff and the kids did a great job!  Glad to have that project done, even thought it was last minute!

Day of Rest

It's our last weekend before the move.  Everyone is pretty tired.  Luckily Monday is Memorial Day, and we get to do another load to the ranch!  We will be happy when all this moving is over :).  

 

Slowly Moving

Since everything seems to be going well with our buyers, it's time to move stuff out.  We have already done one trip to the ranch to store stuff, and now it's time for another trip.  We loaded the trailer full, the truck, and the black truck to empty out more of the house.  The kids have been a great help! 

This time we are taking the stuff to the rental house.  We are lucky we found somewhere to rent short term since everything is booking up so fast.  We are in a small 1400 sq ft house for a 6-month lease.  Hopefully we will have somewhere to live on the ranch at the end of that time.   

We are set to close on the house next week!  It's crazy how fast everything has gone since we got our offer!  It's strange to leave Arlington, but I think we are excited about this new adventure (even if it is a bit scary!)

 

Boys Will Be Boys

I went upstairs to say good night to the kids.  The boys were goofing around.  Grant was not dressed in his pj's yet and was hiding in his blanket.  Such silly boys!  He didn't want me to take his blanket away either ;).
