Chick Time

The kids had a great time taking the chicks outside to "play".  They enjoyed digging around in the dirt and staying warm in the sun!

Silly Boys

I love that our boys love each other and have so much fun together!  I'm glad they haven't grown up too much, yet.  Also, why do they insist on rough housing and playing at bedtime?!

Projects!

Since I have a lot of time on my hands... it's been project time.  The garage just seems to always collect things.  It was nice to get it back in order again.  Another project was fixing toilets.  I took it upon me to figure it out and get them working again.  I found a kit at Lowe's and went to work.  Sandra was my helper and we did upstairs game room and then moved to the master toilet.  They seemed to work... until Jeff got home and he realized that the toilet wasn't pushing water around the bowl.  I don't really have an answer to this problem, but the toilets are better than they were.  I guess we still need to finish up that project.

Easter Fun!

We had a nice Easter at home.  Nathan and Tiffany and kids came over and the kids put on an egg hunt for the little ones.  Lorna had a blast hunting down the eggs. Grandma Whitmer sent an Easter package and the kids enjoyed their new animals!  Daddy and I gave the kids Easter squishmallows too!  The girls helped me make our traditional resurrection rolls too.  The turned out really well!  It was a nice Easter!

Post Holes and Clean up

We are busy getting ready for our pigs by building a pig pen.  It was time to set the posts around the exterior of the pen.  The boys did a good job working with Daddy and Uncle Nathan while the girls got to work on the clean up.  There was so much junk left over from the previous buildings.  It feels like we will be cleaning up for a long time!

Cute Chicks

It has been a long time since we have had chickens.  With getting a ranch it has helped motivate our kids, especially Talmage, to move forward on his own dreams.  He went and bought 6 chicks to take care of at home as our little egg layers.  He will help build a coop and clean up after them.  He got 2 of each kind.  The black ones are Raven and Oreo.  The yellow are Sparky and Honey.  The brown mix color are Buttercup and Catherine.  They are so cute and sweet!  Sparky is tiny so we are a bit worried about her.  They will grow quickly so we are enjoying their little fluffiness while we can!
