Trunk Or Treat Fun!

The trunk or treat for the ward was Saturday night.  We dropped by on the way home from the ranch.  Jeff and I dressed up as ranchers ... because we were already dressed that way :).  Sandra dressed up as a scarecrow, Mhari was a cowgirl and Lorna was Repunzel.  It was fun to spend some time with the ward!

 

Little Painters

As we work on building a new well house, we have been prepping boards for the outside.  Which means a lot of painting!  Luckily, we have a large inside space where we can lay out the boards and prep them!  The kids have been great helpers, even if they aren't always happy about it!  I will say, my back hurt for a while after getting all of these boards painted!  The seams were the hardest part.  

It sure is nice to have so many helpers!  The work goes a lot faster!

 

Outside!

Having a ranch gives us a beautiful opportunity to be outside!  The sunsets can be spectacular!  The work isn't too bad either :).  There's always fencing to finish up!

 

Welding Skills

 

It's time to weld!  It's almost time to work the bison again, but we decided to add on another pen to the handling facility.  Jeff is doing a good job!  It's great to see the project come together!  His welding skills sure are getting good! 

Bye-Bye Weeds

It's always nice when we clean up the weeds at the ranch!  It's amazing how quickly they can overrun the place!  It sure looks better now!  This was just dragging the box blade around to clear out the weeds.  It sure worked well!

 

Poison Ivy

That moment when you have a job but can't go to work because you have poison ivy on your face!  Poor Sandra!  It was pretty itchy and splotchy!  Luckily, we got some good medicine, and she was back to work in a day or two!  Joys of owning a ranch! 

 

Petals!

While we were visiting our friends the Smiths, their crepe myrtle trees started raining down petals!  We miss our beautiful crepe myrtle trees, so it was fun to enjoy some petal confetti with friends!
