We decided to try to learn how to smoke our own brisket. Seeing as we never really eat brisket, it was a new experience! We watched several videos from YouTube that taught us about different seasoning, cooking techniques, and finishing options.
The day came to do smoke the brisket! It's supposed to be an all day, slow cooking, event. We created our own seasoning and rubbed it into the meat. Then we set up the grill to use indirect heat and smoke to cook the meat. The meat actually cooked faster than we expected (as we had temperature probes to check when it was done). Jeff did a great job and the meat was delicious!
