Enjoying the Break

With the kids on break from school for the holidays, it's been nice to see them enjoy some of their new presents!  Everyone got new books to read as well as a puzzle!  It's nice when they are doing quiet activities :).  Yay for holiday fun that lasts more than one day!

17 years of Grant!

Happy birthday to our awesome, crazy, silly son Grant!  You keep our life exciting!  Can't believe you're getting so grown up!  Even passed Daddy in height!  Hope this is an amazing year for you!

Big Foot

That moment when the10 year old's foot is almost as big as mine... size 10 womans!  Man, he is growing quickly!  Mhari is right there with him, but my foot is still just bigger than hers.  Growing up some big kids over here!

Firework Fun

Christmas night we decided to drive out to the ranch to grill burgers and do fireworks!  It was a bit crazy trying to figure out who was opened to sell fireworks, but it all worked out.  Michelle and Jonathan even drove out to join us. It was too hard to take photos, but everyone had a great time.  Grant almost died by firework, but luckily, he survived!

Blanket LOVE!

Over the years we have given many blankets to the kids for Christmas presents.  It has gotten a little out of control to be honest.  However, the kids still love getting blankets, shocking, I know!  It was fun to give blankets and see everyone love them Christmas afternoon!  I guess the blanket tradition is in full force around here :).

Fun and Games

Grant got the game "Monikers" for Christmas.  It was time to play together as a family!  It took a game or so to figure it out, but it was really fun!  By the end of the day everyone was playing with us!  Clark and Lorna needed a little help, but they enjoyed it too.  While the older kids played, I went and check on Lorna to find her writing in her new journal.  Too cute!  Oh, and Jeff showed off his new tool belt too!

Presents!

It's finally Christmas ... which means lots of presents!  We tried to keep it simple.  The kids each got books, a blanket, and a stuffed animal.  Then there are group presents of games, stuff from grandparents, and stuff they gave each other.  I love that they enjoy simple things!  Some of the photos were blurry though :(.

This year I got Jeff his own personal cup (since he enjoys mine so much:), a tool box, and a tool belt for the ranch. Jeff made me a poem that talks about getting my my own ranch boots and also a new outfit.  He did a great job with the poem.  Silly boy!
