Let's Swim!

Summer is here and to help us while it's so hot we spend a lot of time swimming.  Well, we also do swim lessons to be sure everyone can swim ;).

I was able to work with Clark and get him swimming just a week or so before swim lesson started.  It was very exciting to see him gain confidence and really start swimming!  That just leaves us with one little person who can't swim.  I guess we will see how long it takes Lorna... maybe next year she will be swimming too ;).

Anyway, we went to the Grena's house again for swim lessons.  I signed up the youngest 4...

Here is Clark with his class.  He did really well :)

Kicking his feet.

Then it was Lorna's turn.  She loves the water, even if she can't quite swim on her own yet.

While the little ones swim the bigger kids play.  They really enjoy the trampoline.  The sad part is that the kids are now too big to have so many on it at a time and the trampoline ended up getting ripped.  They were sad when they couldn't spend their time jumping anymore.

Sandra and Grant

Mhari's turn.  She's working on her kicks.  They just taught her the breast stroke.

 Silly girl

Poor Sandra is in the last class.  That means she waits, and waits for her turn.  She gets hot and bored.  It's hard to be a big 9 year old.

Clark is also pretty worn out by the end of the day.  Being first to swim means he gets hot too.

Watching the swim class

Talmage and Grant were able to help out some at the Grena's house.  As payment for helping Sister Grena let them join the swim class a few times.  I'm sure it was a nice break from being out in the heat!

Talmage won

Swim lessons keep us busy for a few weeks.  It's fun for me to get to visit with the other families and see the kids improve in their swimming skills.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Daddy joined Mommy at the big 36!  We hung out as a family to celebrate.

The kids waited patiently for Daddy to be ready for his presents ...

He was pretty tired from working so hard!  Look how cute he is when he's sleeping!

Present Time!

Time to light the candles!

Make a wish!

We love Daddy so much!  The kids can't help but play on him and love him as much as they can.  He is so good with them and he works so hard for our family!  We love you so much!!!

A light Dusting

I was woken up at 1:30 AM to the doorbell being rang... like 10 times in a row!  I was pretty surprised and scared wondering who would be waking us up so early in the morning.  I had just dozed off too.  I snuck up to the door and peaked out of the nearby window.  Then I saw it - We had been TP'd.  I was grateful it wasn't anything serious and went back to bed.

This is what it looked like in the morning.  They did the neighbor's house and ours.  It wasn't done very well, but still something to clean up.

This little guy was hanging out on the front door.

We never figured out who had TP'd us, but they banged on the neighbor's door too.  They have teenagers and so we figure it was one of their daughter's friends.  Wonder why we got it too.  Oh, the joy of the teen years :).

Splash Time!

We made it to the zoo again to take advantage of Member Monday.  This time the splash pad was working :).  It was also Clark's official birthday so it was fun to do something fun on his day!  The cousins came and played too so that is always great.  I had a great time trying to get pictures of everyone.  We hung out for about 3 or 4 hours.  The kids were all work out when we got home!

Here is Clark!  Happy Birthday Handsome!

I loved this waterfall!  It made for awesome photos!  I hurried over when I saw them because it really did look cool!

There was this cool water dome thing that the kids liked to hide in.  So cool!

Ella, Sandra and Peyton

Lorna had fun, but took a while to really warm up to the water and friends.

I found the older kids up on the big equipment ready to go down a slide!

Then the water bucket tipped and they all got soaked!

Ella coming out of the slide!

Lorna getting comfortable.  She liked this elephant slide, until she tripped and bonked her face ;(

Sandra :)

 Mhari's turn in the dome

Lorna on the really little slides!

Sandra and Ella in the waterfall!

 Bug playing on the frog

Mhari and Bree in the waterfall!

Talmage and Clark in the water dome.  Talmage was so good with Clark and took him all around as his buddy for part of the time :)

Lorna and her friend Peyton!  It took a while for Lorna to warm up, but they really do get along well :)

Yay for the splash pad working!  Also, yay to enjoy Clark's birthday out doing something fun and with friends!
