Chica-Fil-A

Sandra has her first real job!  She started at Chick-fil-a today!  She was nervous, but did great!  Time to start using her driver's license... and paying for gas and insurance ;).

Good-bye for Now

The time finally arrived, and it was time to say good-bye to Grant.  Everyone got their hug, and it was time to head out.  Except that he forgot his mission bag, so we had to turn around and go get it!  When we arrived at the airport, they had just closed down the baggage counter ;(.  Luckily, they opened it up and took his luggage.  He made it just in time!  It's real now!

Last Night

It was the last night before Grant flew off to Utah and then onto Idaho in another 2 weeks.  Grant wanted to eat at Chili's.  We enjoyed our family meal and check in at the ranch one last time with him.  It's hard to believe that Grant is going to be gone!  He brings so much fun to our family!  It will be so different without him around.  We are excited for him to go out and teach the people in Idaho!  Can't wait to see/hear about all of the things he does!

Hard Working Family!

This past Saturday my family went to work on a long hard day of setting steel posts in concrete for our bison handling facility. We dug 80 holes, set 80 steel posts, carried 150 bags of 80lb concrete, and hauled 250 gallons of water in one day. How hard was it?:

1. 12,000 lbs of concrete which Talmage carried about 7,500 lbs himself
2. Approximately 8,500 lbs of steel put into holes and repositioned many times to set strait.
3. Clark moving over 1/2 ton of water himself in buckets all day.

No complaining. Just working and got it all done. My family deserves a little kudos/recognition for busting it out in one day. Proud of them!

P.S. Grant was at home doing his home MTC and Lorna was hanging out with him.

Power?!

Oncor has been working since August to restore our power.  Looks like things are starting to get serious!  They are working on the new transformer!

Puzzle Progress!

The kids got puzzles for Christmas.  Mhari finally decided to do hers.  It was so pretty!

Elder Williams

Grant was set apart as Elder Williams on Sunday February 13!  He is ready for the mission adventure... starting in the morning!

Grant doing Home MTC... enjoying learning at home.  It's nice to have him around during this time of transition.  He's learning a lot and really enjoying his district!

Little Bit of Snow!

We got SNOW!  It's very pretty!  Unfortunately, it's not cold enough to really stick, or collect, but that's OK.  That just means that the roads won't be terrible!

Birthday Fun!

Sandra and I went to Arlington to meet up with Tiffany and Bree for their birthdays.  We went to play Whirly Ball (bumper car lacrosse).  It was moms against daughters and so fun!  I loved getting to hang out with Amanda and Christina too!  Tiffany and I did lunch and toes too.  It's too bad we don't live closer, but it was great to be together!

The last Hurrah!

The kids went up to spend time with cousins to rock climb and do a game night.  This was Grant's last time to see cousins, and Savanah.  They had a great time together!  It's crazy how fast time is flying!  Grant is about to be gone on his mission!  They really do all grow up so fast!
