Plumbing

We've been trying to get some plumbing done so we can get a gas fireplace.  Today was the day the plumber came!  He took out a faucet that is always wet (thank goodness it wasn't a huge leak), and installed the gas lines to the fireplace!  Getting so close to getting that long awaited fireplace!

This faucet was loose so they fixed that too.

New gas lines!

Hiking Time

We spent the morning on a fun hike at Cedar Mountain Nature Preserve.  Grandma and Grandpa came with us, but since the trail was kind of muddy they turned back before we did.  The trail we picked went down over some falls and then ended at a small pond.  It was beautiful.  I think the kids really enjoyed playing and exploring in nature.  Our hike out was a steep one though.  It was a good thing Grandma and Grandpa turned back when they did.  It was a beautiful day and we will have to plan more hiking days soon!

Dancing the night away!

I dropped the kids off for the youth dance.  When I did we ran into our friends who were taking a picture so we hopped in.  This was Sandra's first dance so that made it extra exciting!  It's crazy to have so many kids that are now old enough for the youth dances!

Stock Show Fun

Our co-op went to the Fort Worth Stock Show for a field trip.  It was our first time going as a group.  We didn't do a lot of things, but there was a dairy presentation and free petting zoo.  The rest was walking around and observing.  There were about 85 people in our group so that was cool!  I love when our kids get to do things together!  Grandma and Grandpa were able to come and help bring the cousins too!

Aidan is a gymnast... in case you couldn't tell :)

Waiting for our turn to walk the Stock Show

Our last Eagle!

With the church leaving BSA at the end of the year, it was good motivation to help Grant finish up his Eagle Scout Award.  Grant hung in there and got it done.  It was nice to hold our own little Eagle Court of Honor for him.  Brother Kelly conducted, Brother Anderson spoke about Grant (and did an excellent job), and Brother Starkweather presented the award.  Brother Hansen had the letters from different officials out to be displayed and Grant chose him to give his mentor pin to.  It was such a nice evening.

Talmage helped him put on his Eagle neckerchief!

Brother Kelly hung out with the kids telling fun stories!

It was nice to have family attend as well!
