Home Builder

Talmage has been planning this chicken coop for about a year.  We had lots of helpers available for him to keep the project moving along.  It was a simple design, but effective.  Once finished he had a 4x8 coop of plywood.  Unfortunately, it isn't water resistant so we will see how that turns out.
Oh, and just don't think anything about Grant ... and singing.  It's fine, everything's totally normal.

Chick Surprise!

That moment when you have a teenager with a job, and he thinks he can just go and buy stuff.  Ya, that's the surprise he brought home, again.  We are up to 11 chickens at the house now (only allowed 5).  Talmage was so excited about the chicks.  It's a shame he's so cute about them.  Good thing he's building them a coop soon!  The yard won't survive if he doesn't!

H's and Helpers!

We were able to get some of the main H braces set up for pasture 7!  Once these are all set then it's mostly putting in t posts and running barbed wire.  We had to make double H's because the runs are too long for a single.  This is the first time we did it without using a strainer, and instead used rebar.  It worked out just fine.
The next weekend everyone was busy at home with various things so Jeff got some help from the missionaries in Jacksonville area.  There were 4 that came out to help.  That sure helped the work go a lot faster!  They set the t-posts and ran the wire.  Having some strong helpers made the work go really fast!

Mom's Dress

It has been fun to see my girls get big.. and be able to wear some of my old dresses that I had saved.  This dress was one of my favorites.  Mhari looks so good in it!  It's hard to believe she's already big enough to fit it!  Kids sure do grow up fast!

Grant and Savanah

Grant took his girlfriend Savanah to the prom!  They were great sports at letting both moms attack them with cameras ;)
