Student Day!

We love student day at the Renaissance Festival!  The kids loved the huge Excalibur Sword!  There was a chance of rain, but that didn't stop us.  We got sprinkled on, but overall the day was very successful!  We enjoyed the knife throwers and the birds of prey exhibit.  The kids broke off into groups and enjoyed exploring.  It was a beautiful day!

Open Season!

It's been a cool spring ... which means that the pool has been too cold to swim in.  It has warmed up enough to swim and the kids enjoyed a beautiful afternoon in the pool!  The pool is open for the season!

Graduate!

Open house night at co-op!  We love open house and showing off.  This happens to be a special show off night... Graduation!

Talmage made it to his big day.  This was our first graduating class from Legacy Homeschool Co-op.  We had 4 graduate:  Talmage, Ella, Kendall, and Zahra.

Talmage still has to finish school subjects so this is his soft graduation ;).  He should finish all of his course work in May!  We plan to have him registered for summer school at TCC and start full time in Fall.
Welcome to college!  We are so proud of all of your hard work and who you are becoming!

Finished Floor!

Some house projects feel like they have taken forever.... even if it hasn't been forever, it has been about a year and a half and in flooring terms that is a long time!  We have had our wood down for about a year now and we have been waiting on tile.  You would think it would be difficult, but some things take time.  It takes time to pick a tile, then change our minds, and then pick a new one (again :)).  It takes time to pay for tile.  It cost as much to install the tile areas as it did to do all of our wood floor.  The price was actually quite shocking.  Jeff's cancer didn't help since all house projects were on hold.

It was finally time to take the plunge and buy the tile and get it installed!  It was totally worth the wait!  We LOVE our tile!  It looks amazing and is so easy to clean.  Our kitchen looks so bright and beautiful!

The first day the workers spent all of their time floating the floor to make it level.  They were finally starting to make progress with tile the second day.  I was kind of surprised how slow it was to lay the tile.  The workers did a great job though and made everything level, even bringing it up to the height of our 3/4 inch tall wood floors.  After 4 long days the floor was in and it was ready for grout.  The grout went pretty quick and it was finished!  Seriously so happy... like almost forgot how long we had to wait to have such great tile, happy!

Day 2

Day 3 - so much progress!

Field Day!

This was our first year to do a field day with our co-op!  It was fun to have a cross fit member lead the kids.  It was a big relay race event.  It was fun to see the kids participate and be active!  The kids had a great day and are looking forward to doing it again :).

The kids were broken into teams and they were such great teammates!  They supported each other so well!
