Falling Down

Our poor garage building is falling down!  Looks like we need a demo day!  We need to get this all cleaned up for a house build!

Baptisms!

I was able to go to the temple and do baptisms.  It was great to go with our ward Relief Society!  I was glad we had so many ladies make it out.  The temple is a place of peace and joy!  It was great to share that with these ladies!

Trouble

Monday the 11th when we went to check on the ranch, we found 2 bison out of their pasture and in pasture 6.  Bartok and one of the ladies broke out! We have some fence work to do now. Then on Friday the water float valve broke.  We had to shut that trough off and get the one going in pasture 5 again.  You never know what trouble will be waiting at the ranch!

1st Day of School

Sandra had her first day of in-person college!  I asked her to send me a photo, so she did ;).  I'm sure she's going to have a great semester!  I also asked for photos of her apartment.  She is at the Sunrise Village apartments #25.

Home

After a long 24 plus hours of driving, I made it home!  I did stop at a Chick-fil-a for dinner Saturday night.  The Sunset was amazing in Colorado!  Sunday was a nice fast drive!  So glad to be home with my family and not have to drive like that for a long time!  It was a struggle for me to drive alone, but I know my prayers were answered as I accomplished the difficult task!

An Early Hug

On my way home from Idaho, I drove through Grant's area in Afton, WY.  He had a box for me to take home so he met me at the church.  It was right next to the Star Valley Temple.  So pretty but small.  It was great to see Grant and get an early hug!  I met his companion Elder Garcia from Arkansas.

BYU-I

We made it to Idaho on Friday for apartment check in.  Things were odd at check in.  Sandra is rooming with Savanah Hull.  The room they got was still dirty.  There was cat food on the floor and the room stank!  Amand and I were concerned.  We tried to do a Wal-Mart run for groceries, but everyone else was there too.  The girls went to an orientation and Amanda and I hung out at the temple waiting for them.  We spent time walking campus getting ID cards and finding classes.  Then we did a late-night Walmart run in Idaho Falls and got dinner at Carl's Jr.  After dropping everything off at the apartment Amanda and I did another run to Walmart to get the last-minute things that we still needed.  By the time we made it back to the apartment the girls had met their roommates and were feeling a lot better!  It was a crazy busy day, but I was so glad I was there to focus on Sandra and help her settle in to her new home.

Utah Fun!

We stayed with Paul and Karen in Utah.  It was great to spend time with them!  Thursday, we went to downtown Salt Lake and toured the Conference Center.  There were no official tours going on, but we walked around and enjoyed the view.  It's crazy to see the Salt Lake Temple all under construction.  We spent time with Elise and her baby Lyla, and that night Rachel, Hayden and baby William came over for dinner, along with Marissa and her roommate.  It was fun to see everyone and reconnect.  We were up and out the door Friday morning, heading to Idaho!

Drop By

While driving through Utah, Talmage asked that I drop off his temple bag.  Being the obedient missionary that he is, he had no intention of seeing his family and possibly breaking mission rules.  He gave me the address then made sure he was nowhere near it when we came through town.  He did give me this silly selfie to show which apartment is his.  Sandra and I decided to send him our own selfie as a reply to his :).  Silly boy!

First Date

Sandra arranged a meet up with our friend, previous ranch helper Elder, Ian Brubaker.  They did breakfast at Chick-fil-a in Flagstaff.  It was a convenient stop on our way up to Utah.  It was an early drive, but great to let them have a few hours to catch up and enjoy each other's company.  Before we left Ian asked for a photo with me too, so that was nice.

Family Time

It's time to take Sandra up to college.  Along our way our first stop was Arizona.  I met up with my mom and sister for lunch.  Sandra and I then spent some time with my mom at her office.  We headed out DI shopping and met back up with Grandma and Grandpa Williams for dinner.  After dinner, we went out to Christa and Mike's house to visit.  Uncle Westen came by also.  It was a fast visit, but great to see everyone!  It was so busy that these are the only photos of the day!
