Through the looking glass

Or looking window....
We just had the kids rooms windows fixed.  We did all of the girls windows and several of the boys.  We are hoping this will help keep their rooms cool during the summer... and warmer in the winter.  The girls room has been really bad.  Getting these new windows in will be a huge benefit!

They turned out so nice ;)

Girls room

Boys room... We needed to change 2 of the 4 special windows.

Lightning

Mhari is on team Lightning for soccer. She has played defense and goalie.  She is having a great time and doing well.  It is stressful to be the goalie, but she's handling it well.  It is fun to see her be part of a team and learn a new skill!

Mhari practicing for goalie and warming up

She's so cute in that huge goal!

2 Eyes!

Grant got contacts!  He was having trouble taking care of his glasses during soccer.... because he kept getting hit in the face with the ball and breaking his glasses.  I asked if he wanted to try contacts.  He thought about it and decided it was worth the try.  He really likes his contacts and is very happy!

Welcome to the world of Contacts :) ... no more 4 eyes for him.

Robbers Cave Fun!

While we were in Oklahoma we went to visit Robber's Cave.  It was so fun to climb the rocks and explore!  Everyone got a buddy and started off.  I buddied up with Lorna :).  Here are some fun pictures!

Break time in OK

For part of spring break we went up to hang out with our friends at their cabin in OK.  Jeff had to stay home and work, but otherwise we had a great time.  It was colder than we planned so their wasn't as much outside time for the kids.  The older ones would go out and build forts and play tag so that was fun!  Most of the little kids stayed to the house.  Everyone played and even made new friends.  It is always nice to get away for a little break :)

Talamge and Jorgen.  He had fun teaching the younger boys how to play chess!

Emily, Sandra and Allison... surviving the mud!

One day someone pulled out a little dvd player ...  it was funny how the kids flocked around it like a moth to a flame :)

Piano Honors Receital

Sandra and Mhari played at a piano festival competition.  The ones who scored the highest were invited to play in the Honor's Recital.  Both girls got to play this year.  It was neat to get to watch them play.  They have each worked so hard on their songs!  We are so proud of all of their hard work!

Game Day!

Clark's team is the Bronco's.  He's the biggest on his team, not that we are surprised by that.  He loves to play and listens really well to his coach.

Clark has even gotten to play goalie

Lorna ready to play.  She had a fun time, even if no one really knew what they were supposed to do :)

Our Saturdays are full of soccer fun!

Losing!

Clark is still losing teeth... now a big front one is out!  He just keeps growing up.  We love our little bigness!

Soccer Family

All of the kids signed up for soccer... accept Sandra.  The boys were on the same team so we ended up with 4 teams with different practices and game times.  Spring soccer will be a bit crazy, but the kids are so excited!

Lorna has done so well for her coach.  Her age group is 3 and 4 year olds.  She is the oldest on her team and most of the little boys spend their time running away and ignoring the coach.  3 year olds aren't really that good at soccer.

She is a cutie little soccer player!

The boys playing their first game!  They are very happy to be back playing soccer.
