Mini Excavator

We rented a mini excavator to get some dirt work done over the Christmas break.  Jeff and Grant worked on the asphalt basketball court.  They made a dent and then decided it wasn't worth all the hassle.  Grant worked on leveling out the area in front of the gas tank.  It looks a lot better.  Jeff spent some time with it working on the path going west on the north side of pasture 7.  That's much better now!  It's been a good experience and I'm sure we have many more projects where we could use a mini excavator!  Until next time!  Oh, and just adding a photo of Kisses and that her eye is looking much better!

18 Years Already!

Grant is 18!  We celebrated at home with a small family party.  This is Grant's last year home for his birthday.  It's crazy to think that soon enough he will be off on his mission!  He is a fun kid and is turning into a fabulous adult!  We love you, Grant!

Williams Family Christmas

To celebrate Christmas with the Williams side of the family everyone met up at our ranch.  The kids got to play archery with their cousins so that was especially fun!  Jeff and Nathan walked around and talked about the ranch and ideas of how to make things work.  I made pulled pork for sandwiches from our pig meat.  It turned out great and the weather was awesome!  It was a beautiful day!  It was good to get to spend time with family for the holidays!

Merry Christmas!

We enjoyed a quiet Christmas at home.  Opening presents was the highlight of the morning.  Sandra had painted everyone their own picture.  They turned out so good!  We gave the kids movies, frisbees, horseshoes and bow and arrows.  That afternoon we hung out at the ranch and the kids were able to get the bow and arrow set out and shoot.  It's tricky to be in a small home, but it's working so far!

Early Christmas Present

We got a photo of Talmage and the family that had the Elders over for dinner.  It was a great Christmas surprise!  It's always good to see that Talmage is being taken care of and enjoying his mission!

Family Home Evening

For Family Home Evening tonight there were verses that talked about Jesus Christ and each child had to draw their verse.  It was pretty interesting!  Daddy said Lorna's picture (last one) looked like worms dressed up as Mary and Joseph.  Everyone's pictures were unique and very appropriate to their verses!  It was a fun night and totally worth remembering!

Buckeyes!

Being in a rental is quite different.  It's hard to uphold our traditions if we don't even have room for the stuff.  Luckily the girls pulled together to make our annual buckeyes!  Lorna was a big help! The girls had an activity about Christmas, so they brought the buckeyes to share.  I'm glad they were able to make them and keep the tradition alive!

Friends

We headed into Arlington to spend time with cousins and friends.  It's hard to be away from those people you used to spend so much time with.  It was nice to hang out and do our little Christmas exchange.  The kids played volleyball and board games.  The day sure went by fast!  We love the Hull's and Aunt Tiffany and her kids!

Sweet 16!

Our Sweet Sandra turned 16!  We celebrated with a small party at home.  She enjoyed her presents and cake!  She is ready to get her license and then a job.  It's hard to believe how fast they grow up!  We love you our little Chica girl!

Sunday Nap Day!

Jeff went to check on Clark... and then never came back.  After a little while I had to go see what the boys were up to, it was way too quiet!  Looks like they ended up napping!  Silly boys!  I guess Sunday is a day of rest!

Bye Fuzzy

Lorna's favorite calf, Fuzzy, died today.  We aren't sure what happened.  She was in by the feed troughs when we found her.  She hadn't been well in quite some time.  She was a cute little fuzzy calf!  She was finally turning brown like the other calves.  She was also so small compared to the rest of them.  It's always sad to lose an animal, but it seems even harder when it's a baby!  It just proves that we shouldn't ever name them or have a favorite... that's when something bad happens!

14 Year Punkin

Mhari is 14!  It's crazy to think that it's been that long that our sweet 10 lb beautiful baby was born!  She loves music, squishmallows and crochet!  She is learning and growing so much!  We love you and happy birthday!

Progressive Christmas

For our ward Relief Society Christmas party, we put on a progressive dinner.  It turned into progressive snacks and mingling, but that's ok.  I think everyone had a great time.  At the second house there was a message given regarding angels around us.  It was very sweet.  I had a great time and got to know some of the ladies in the ward better.
