Ranch and Bison!

The demo has continued hard core.  It's time for the last layers to come out (especially the carpet... multilayered ... eew!).  It was a hard day with poles being delivered and a lunch trip to visit Steve's bison.  We got to show them to Nathan and Tiffany.  It was a fun day, even if we did get a bit wet :).

New Friend

Right before bed the kids found a tiny turtle in the swimming pool.  They loved bringing him in to show off to Jeff and I.  He's a red eared slider.  He is so tiny!  We had the kids return him to the lake.  It's always fun to make a new friend!

Painting Class

With everyone stuck doing school at home we have found quite a few new things being offered.  One thing I found that I thought Sandra would enjoy is doing a paint along and making her own Highland cow.  She did a great job and even made it how she wanted (more realistic with the hair over both eyes).  Great job Chica!

Human Body!

For Lorna's human body class they had the challenge to make their own skeleton!  It was fun to help her build her little guy!  She named him Steve :).

Snack Prep!

School has been put on hold, as far as co-op goes.  This coronavirus has cancelled public schools for several weeks and delayed the colleges.  People are being encouraged to work from home and not go out in public.  Life is feeling pretty crazy!

To try to finish up our classes the kids have been doing Zoom meetings (electronic video calls) and projects at home.  This week Clark was to make homemade ice cream sandwiches with graham crackers and whip cream.  He came up with a great idea to add chocolate chips to his whip cream.  Clark was kind enough to let Lorna help him too!  Once they put them together we put them in the freezer to set up and enjoy for an afternoon treat.  They had a blast!

Hard life

When doing school every day just keeps happening!  Oh, this silly girl and 2nd grade.  Lorna does a good job, but sometimes takes a bit to get into the groove.  It's hard to have your mother teach you every day :)

Swimming Season

The weather has been nice and it was nice to let the kids, and cousins, swim again!  It may be freezing, but they are ready for the water!

And the one who wants to be included, yet out of the water :)

Week 3 - Ranch!

Nathan and Tiffany came out again this week to help finish up the demo in the sanctuary.  It was a really productive day!  Unfortunately we aren't done, but it's nice to see progress!

Sorry no before photos :(

Quarantine School

The coronavirus has taken over the world... it seems.  We are on an extended break for Spring Break (from Co-op).  We aren't sure when we get to go back and how bad the restrictions will get.  Public school has been shut down too so that's messing everyone up.  With homeschool we don't have to change our routine very much.  We are just moving along as normal.  We don't want to get behind on our work as we are prepped to finish up the beginning of May.  I wonder how long this will last.

Sandra stress laughing :)

I did make some yummy cupcakes for my Ministering ladies.  I also made cookies.  It was fun to get out and visit friends, even though we need to be social distancing.
It's been super yummy anyway!

Ranch Work!

Week 2 of Ranch work was filled with a lot of demolition.  Nathan, Tiffany and kids came to help too.  It was great to have the extra hands!  We got some good work done in the upstairs apartment area.  It's amazing how much work there still is to do.  The kids worked hard too!  With so many helpers the work went pretty quickly!  It was fun to take some time and explore the lake and such with Nathan and Tiffany.
