Trim, Insulation, and Trunk or Treating

I am continuing to progress with adding the exterior trim.  It's so much fun ;). 

We are doing spray foam insulation in the house.  They are all done and it looks so good!  Hopefully the house will stay nice and cool in the summer and warm in the winter!  

Our ward combined with Bullard 1st ward for trunk or treat.  There was a chili (and hot dog) dinner at the pavilion.  The kids (Lorna) walked around for trunk or treating while Jeff and I visited with friends.  It was a nice evening.  Life looks different when your youngest is 12.  The only photo I got was a blurry one of Lorna doing trust falls with her friend Adalyn.  So fun! 

Silly Girl and Roof Done!

Lorna was being especially silly today!  I figured it was worth all the photos I could get!  Love her! 

Jeff and I finished up the roof tonight!  We got the gable end trim up.  It was late, but the roof is done!  

Deliveries!

We have toilets, bathtubs, and water heaters!  Well, they have been delivered to the ranch.  It sure feels like we are getting closer to finishing the house up!  

I also started to put the trim on the corners of the house and the house electrical panel is installed!  So much progress!

TBA Conference

Fall TBA Conference.  This was held at Chris and Theda's property on Friday night and Tina and Chuck's on Saturday.  

Friday Chris did a demonstration of low stress handling to load up bison.  It was pretty good, until the 2 bison bulls broke out of the alley way and back into the handling area.  Chris had invited the conference members to come closer and were in the handling area.  Jeff and I stayed out of the handling area since it didn't seem like a safe idea and we had been told earlier to stay out to stay safe.  It was quite a crazy event to watch and thankfully no one was injured.  Let's just say that wasn't a safe, low stress event.  

There were several presenters on Saturday as well as a panel of producers to answer common bison questions.  As the TBA president, Jeff conducted the meeting and was part of the panel.  We had a good time and enjoyed meeting new friends and hanging out with old friends. 

 

Roof Flashing

We have the roof on the house and patio... but we need a flashing between the two roofs.  Mhari and Lorna helped me get the flashing installed.  We had to take out some of the screws and install a foam closure as well as the metal flashing.  It was a bit tedious, but we got it done!  It looks so good!

 

Plumbing and A/C

We have done most of this house build ourselves.  We have only hired out the foundation work up to this point.  Well, it was time to bring in some more professionals.  We needed to add a drain for the master bath, run venting, and add the A/C system.  We set it up to do with Banister Plumbing.  They worked quickly and got everything jackhammered and ready to run the new drains.  The A/C has been going really great as well!  I'm excited to have this next step done for the house!  

Oh, and yes, more house panels are up!  

Panel - Done

I have finished 90% of the house panels!  It's like it's all done.  I just need to finish the small north wall of the house.  I may need some help from Jeff since it's a bit trickier.  It looks so good up.  We have to put trim boards up, caulk and paint, but for now it look so great ;).  The kids really were great help and working on the patios was super nice!  It's really starting to look like a house now!  

The a/c work continues with lots of ducting being added.  They installed the bathroom air vents as well.
