Permit!

Clark got his permit today!  Way to go Clark!  The DPS office was so fast we were out of there before our actual appointment time!  Now comes the fun part... learning to drive!  I'm sure he'll do great, even if my nerves might not agree.

Christmas Tree Farm

Jeff offered for his brother, Nathan, and family to come cut down their own Christmas tree.  They were able to come out and spend some family time hunting for trees.  They ended up choosing several, which is great for us ;).  It was fun to spend the afternoon together!  So happy to share our saplings with anyone who wants them ;)

Naps

If I see someone napping that means it's time for a photo!  Clark is still so cute!  I know seminary wears him out.  Thankfully we are on break until January so he can catch up on some much needed sleep :).  Jeff is always cute when he naps.  So thankful for these sweet guys in my life!

Temple Time

We had our bimonthly temple trip to the baptistry with the homeschool kids.  We had 11 kids go this time!  It was a wonderful time.  The temple president spoke to the kids in the chapel before it was time to go in.  That was really sweet.  Then the kids got to go get ready and do the baptisms.  It is always the best time to spend with friends!  It's even a great time for us moms to spend time together!

Welcome to Adulthood

Our little Punkin is 18!  That sure went fast!  Mhari is a sweet girl who still loves all things chicken, and dragon!  She still works at Crumbl and is doing school with BYUI.  She has grown up so much and will be gone before we know it.  We sure love you!

Bison Calves are Here!!!

After much wait... the bison calves are here... and still coming!  We are up to 2 right now with many more moms showing signs.  We had worried that Achmed didn't do his job or that something else was wrong.  We aren't sure why they didn't breed until March to give us December calves.  We are grateful to have them, especially since we were about to sell the moms a couple of weeks ago.  We backed out of the deal once we saw that the moms were showing signs.  It will be a fun winter having so many cute orange babies!  Hopefully we will get 9 calves!  We will keep watching and waiting!

Attitude

Our attitude is conveyed so easily through our face.  Lorna was sitting, not happily so I had her give me a smile.  It was fun to see the difference and show her too.  Hopefully we can all be aware of our attitudes and make adjustments when needed ;).
Oh, and it looks like we will be getting bison calves soon.  It's going to be a Christmas miracle!

Decorated!

We finally finished all of the inside decorating!  It was fun to get the garland out!  Everything feels very Christmasy now!  It was hard to decide where to put our stockings, but I think it works on the door.  We are ready for a very Merry Christmas!

25 Years to Eternity!

It's been 25 years already!  It's so crazy how fast time flies!  We celebrated at Benito's in Bullard with some delicious pizza and cheesecake. We have been through so much in 25 years!  Jeff's bachelor's degree and law degree.  Renting our first apartment, renting my parents old home and moving to Texas.  Buying our first house, second house, third house - huge renovation job and selling to move into a rental in the country to build our own house.  Building a bison ranch and our very own house together!
This doesn't include the list of cars we've owned or callings we have served in, but the best thing we have created together is our six wonderful children.  Being parents has added an amazing layer to being together!  This life has been crazy, stressful, amazing!  I'm so grateful to have done and learned so much and done it all with my wonderful husband!  Luvu Hunny!  Forever!

Lit!

In 25 years of marriage this is the first time we have Christmas lights on the outside of the house!  It just feels so good!  Lorna was my helper and we got them up pretty quickly.  We had some issues of burned out lights and new lights that don't match the old lights, but overall I'm pleased.  We even got the tree lit and decorated!  It really is a wonderful time of the year!

Christmas Tree Time

While living in our rental home we kept holidays pretty simple... especially decorating.  Honestly there just wasn't room for a Christmas tree.  Well, here we are chopping down a nice free ranch tree to fit into our house!  It was so fun to pick it out and get it set up!  I can't wait to decorate it!  It's going to be a beautiful Christmas this year!

Stumped

One of the first things we did on the ranch was to cut a branch off of this cedar tree.  Then a few years later we cut the tree down, but left a tall stump.  Since living in the house, the stump is right out side of our bedroom windows.  It's just sitting there reminding us everyday to cut it down.  Well, the day has come!  Good-bye stump!

Jeff cut around it and then we all helped pull it over.  The center of it is all hollow too!  So glad to have that done!
