Happy 46

Happy birthday Hunny!  Welcome to 46!  Life keeps moving along and I'm grateful we get to do it together!  Hope you enjoyed your presents and "cake" :).

Look Up

The sky has been so pretty the last few days!  I can't help but go take photos!  I love it!  It makes me happy to live up on top of the hill and get to look up and enjoy these beautiful views!

15 years already!

Clark turned 15!  It's crazy how fast time flies!  He is really growing too, 6'4.5" and still going!  He is holding his own at home being the only boy.  He loves spending time with his dad and friends.  He still loves dinosaurs and is looking forward to the upcoming Jurassic Park movie.  He spends his time working out and playing video games.  We made sure to go get his free bundt cake too!

Happy Birthday!  We love you!

Bison Time

It was time for another Texas Bison Association Conference.  Jeff finished his year as president of the TBA!  It was more stressful than it needed to be, but it was a good learning experience.  Time for a new board to keep moving forward supporting Texas bison ranchers.  It was nice to get away for a night, enjoy some good food, and meet new friends!  It was even better that it was in Fort Worth so it wasn't such a long drive home at the end ;)

Temple Trip

We love getting to go to the temple with our friends!  We took some Cabrera boys with us and hung out with our homeschool friends.  I grabbed a quick photo before we headed back home.  It was a beautiful day!

Mhari and Clark got to go enjoy our stake youth conference at Stephen F Austin University in Nacogdoches!  They had a great time and especially loved getting to room with friends!

Free Meat

It was a beautiful day!  The clouds were doing some crazy things.  Later in the day I got word that a friends cow had to be put down and they were wondering if we wanted to help butcher it on site.  There were several families that came and helped.  It would have taken forever without all the many hands getting it done.  It was also a great chance for Clark to get his first butchering hands on experience.  Getting to do it with his best friends was the best!  It was a long evening, but we stayed to get it all cleaned up in the end.  Can't complain about a bit of free grass fed beef!

Wrangler

Sandra is working as a wrangler at Dry Ridge Outfitters at Harriman State Park in Idaho.  She is leading horseback rides!  I got a message from Kara Martin, from church, with this photo!  She didn't even know Sandra was doing that and then she ran into her there!  So fun!  Sandra is getting tan, working hard, and learning a lot!  Yay for summer jobs!

Sea World

We took the kids to Sea World!  Lorna and Clark really don't have much memory of the last time we went (almost 12 years ago) so we figured it was time to go back!  Having cousins live nearby was even better!  We hung out with Joseph, Benson, and Lorali the whole day.  The kids loved hanging with their cousins.  The big kids enjoyed roller coasters and we saw some fun shows too!  It was hot, but luckily there were some opportunities to cool down.  The seal and otter show was so crazy.  The firehose sprayed the audience!  Sure wish I had known how seriously they took their splash zone!

Saturday we hung out at Joe and Amanda's for more bonding before heading back home.  Hopefully this trip will be remembered for a long time!

Big Lou's!

Big Lou's Pizza... how we've missed you!  We took the kids on a family trip to San Antonio!  Our first stop was Big Lou's Pizza!  We met up with Joe, Amanda and kids!  The pizza tasted great and the kids really helped clean it up!  They ate so much we ordered another (smaller) pizza!  Great times!  Oh, and Clark is still taller than his cousin, Benson, for now :)

Weedn

The clean up continues... with some old fashioned weeding!  The feed lot was getting so over run that I decided it was time to just pull the weeds.  I hate weeding, but I hate looking at weeds even more.  Hopefully next year we won't let it get this bad!  It's looking better now!

Cleanin Up

Clark has been mowing!  Getting the compound area all cleaned up!  It looks so much better short!  While he mowed Lorna and I cleaned up the dogs.  It also got them out of the pen so Clark could mow that too!  It's amazing how a little clean up makes everything look so much better!
