Fun and Games

Maybe I should say games and fun!  Grant and Talmage had fun playing games with the other kids.  I got a couple of photos, just for memories.  These moments are few and far between.  

 

Coming Together

We put the old reception desk in Jeff's office for me to use.  It fits, but doesn't quite give enough room for Jeff's large desk the way he wants it.  The office is still a work in progress.  I was also able to finish painting the outside of the house!  Oh, and Talmage helped me install the fan in my bathroom!  All the fans are now installed in the house!  It feels great when it all comes together!

 

Silly Kids

Bunkbed 2

Since Talmage is coming home for a few weeks the boys need more sleeping room.  It was time to make their bunkbed!  It went faster since we'd learned a few things from the girls.  It was nice to have many hands to help it come together quickly!  Looks great!

Office Time

The kids helped us get the office set up!  We hung wall boards, placed carpet squares and installed the fan.  It was a super productive day!  Grant has been in town over the summer break so it's been great to have him take a turn helping with the project!  Another boy another fan install!

Back to School

Another school year has arrived!  Clark is a Sophomore and Lorna is in 8th grade.  They are both in seminary with me.  School has been going well so far.  The kids are pretty good about doing their work while I prep my seminary lessons.  Seminary does mean that we are sneaking in naps as needed.  Lorna is loving going to seminary!  I think she loves seeing her friends the most though.  Time sure is flying by!

 

Accomplished!

Jeff took a trip up to Idaho to get our Mercury Grand Marquis back from the kids.  They aren't going to use it to travel down to Texas and it needs some fixing so it was time for it to come home.  When Jeff got there Sandra picked him up and they got some food with Sandra's boyfriend, Nathan.  It was good for them to meet.  The next day Jeff got to go on a "happy pony ride" as Jeff calls it, with Mark and Lisa Caldwell (and of course Sandra).  Jeff's horse had to stop to pee a few times and wasn't all the cooperative, but otherwise it was a fun time!  

Jeff got to do dinner with Sandra and Talmage that night.  He hung out at Cami's Uncle's house and took a power nap during a movie that evening.  He decided that was enough sleep and headed out around 11 pm to get back home.  He made it pretty far until he had to take a couple hour nap around 5 am.  Then he drove and drove.  He made it home around 3 am this morning.  Of course after a little sleep, he then headed off to his church responsibilities.  It was a crazy trip, but thankfully pretty uneventful!  We are happy he is home.  Also, so good to see him sleep after such a long drive!

 

Bowl Maker

A few weeks ago Lorna went with her friends to a pottery making shop.  She got to make her very own bowl!  She got it today and it's so cute!  She can't wait to use it all the time!  Learning new skills is so fun!

 

House Paint

The time has come to paint the house!  We chose a color we loved from our last house, aged stucco grey.  Lorna and Clark have been a big help.  We got the south side and a lot of the west side done!  It's looking so good!

 

Productive

More amazing scenic photos... because I love them.  Also, I got some priming done while the kids got the black truck washed.  It was a good day to be productive!
