Summer Swim!

This year we didn't do 6 Flags passes so we aren't attending Hurricane Harbor and all of the fun water slides.  The kids had gotten burned out last year so we decided to enjoy our own pool this year.  We got new water toys (something we have to do every year) and the kids were off playing!  I love that they get in there and swim!  It is really fun to have the cousins so close to get to come swim so often too!

Activity Girl Fun!

Mhari was supposed to go attend a Frozen musical presentation with the ward activity girls.  Unfortunately the weather was questionable so they cancelled and hung out at their leader's house watching a movie and eating treats instead. The girls had a great time and it was fun to see Mhari interacting with the girls.  I'm glad there are a lot of girls for her to get to know and make friends with.   

Girls Camp!

This is Sandra's first year to attend girls camp!  We are doing it on a ward level this year so that is pretty special.  We have a decent size group of girls so that makes it fun, plus a great opportunity to build friendships with girls she will see often :).  Bree's ward wasn't doing a girls camp so we invited her to ours.  It was fun to see the girls get to go to camp together!  I can't believe she is already off to camp!  

Nature Walks

This summer Tiffany and I are getting up early and walking to get our exercise in.  It has been good to be up and productive.  I must say one of my favorite parts is watching the sky.  I love clouds and storms rolling through.  While it may not always make for good walking conditions, I love the amazing clouds I have seen in just a few days!  It is also fun because our girls walk together in front of us.  I love watching them be friends and grow up together!  This time is so precious!  I'm trying to soak in every minute!

Emergency Prepared!

Our neighborhood held an emergency responder event where there was food, raffles, train rides, and emergency vehicles.  It was so hot, but fun!  We really enjoyed getting to see the emergency helicopters and get to talk with the pilots and EMTs.

That night we had a double date with the Hamblins.  We met up at the Cheesecake Factory in Fort Worth!  The food was amazing!  It was nice to meet up and enjoy catching up on old times!

Hello Summer!

The Buer's hosted a "Hello Summer" party!  It was fun to take the kids and go swim!  I am bad about taking pictures at these sorts of things, so this time I made sure to snap a few of the kids having fun!  Grant made me laugh when I found him in the unicorn floaty!  Silly boy!

Everyone had a nice time.  I think the biggest hit for my kids was the flippers!  I may have to find some of those for our pool collection!  

Happy Donut Day!

Krispy Kreme is no longer celebrating Pirate Day in Sept, but they do celebrate Donut Day!  Everyone got to pick any donut they wanted for free!  It is also very fun to get to watch the donuts get made and glazed!  Mmmmm.... donuts!
