Little Helper

While running barbed wire today a butterfly came to hang out with us.  It really liked Mhari.  Such a cute little helper!

 

Leak!

The water pump was acting strange.  We were working around the property and found the problem!  There is a leak!  Oh man!  Jeff came out on Saturday and fixed it!  We shut off the lower trough turned on the trough in the gathering pen.  Hopefully we won't have any other water issues!  

Oh, and aren't the calves adorable!  

 

Tie Dye Fun

This summer the Smiths and Huphries are putting on a history class.  This week we learned about India and tie-dying.  My kids love to tie-dye!  We will unwrap the shirts in a day or two to see the fun designs they made. 

 

Labor Day Progress!

Jeff was off for the holiday, so we went to the ranch!  Time to get the woven wire fence up!  Saturday the missionaries helped us and we got a few woven wire rolls done.  Today we got the rest run!  It is looking great!  Jeff made a set up for the tractor to hold the wire and unroll it as we go.  It worked so well!  I'm happy this is the fence between us and our neighbors!  It should also help keep their dogs on their property too!  

 

Family

Grandma, Grandpa and Clark were in a rearend accident on Friday the 26th.  Their truck is totaled, and the grandparents are pretty bruised up.  Nothing too serious, but lots of sore muscles and bruising.  They were planning to head home today, but they will need some time to recover before they can make the trip home.  Nathan, Tiffan and kids came out to visit.  It was great to see them.  The kids had fun playing games and the adults chatted.  

I hope the grandparents start feeling better soon!  It's no fun to be in a car accident!  

 

Picking up Chicks

The girls and I were on a mission to pick up lots of different items for the ranch projects tomorrow.  While at Atwoods the girls found their chicks!  The manager was kind and even let them pick them up.  I think they could have stayed there all day!  They were so cute!

 

Swim Party

Since moving to the country, the kids have really missed swimming.  I don't miss owning a pool, but it sure is nice to have when it's hot.  The homeschool group met up at the Martin's house for a swim day!  It was so fun!  I know my kids could have stayed all day!  Sandra even came to out to play.  Usually, she spends time working or doing her schoolwork.  Yay for cooling off in this hot weather!
