Temple Tour

I had set up the tour for Friday.  My mom and Jeff's parents were able to come with us.  It was nice to spend the day with family.  The visitor's center was different.  Lorna helped color the large mural.  There were quiet spaces, cubbies.  We missed seeing the Christus.  Jeff asked about it and was told they put it in the basement during the open house.  That seemed odd.  The temple was beautiful.  I think everyone really enjoyed the tour. 

 

Driving

We decided to take the kids to Phoenix so we could attend the Mesa Temple open house.  It was closed for several years while they renovated it.  I was very excited to get to show the kids where Jeff and I got married.  It's hard to be gone long so this was a fast and furious trip.  We headed out Thursday and drove all day (17+ hours).  Since our family car was totaled, we ended up driving 2 vehicles.  I drove the Mercury Grand Marquis (the "new" vehicle) with Sandra, Clark and Lorna, While Jeff drove the truck with Mhari, Talmage, and Grant.  Sandra took a few photos of our car :)

 

Moonlight

We had to go check on the ranch and we got to see the moon rise.  It was beautiful!  Crazy to think we will get to live here!

 

Botany

Even though we moved, we are still finishing out our semester at Co-op.  The kids have really loved their classes.  It is hard to leave something that we have loved for so long!  One cool thing that the kids did was Clark learned how to preserve a flower.  It turned out pretty good!  He is really loving his Botany class.  He can't wait to start our own garden at the ranch!

 

19!

Happy 19th Birthday to Talmage!  It is so hard to believe that we had our first baby 19 years ago!  He has grown into a great young man!  He is surviving all of the changes we are making and prepping to head out on his mission soon!  It really does all go by so fast!  We love you!

 

Haunted Houses

The girls made haunted houses (like gingerbread houses) for their young women activity tonight.  The turned out super cute!  Maybe too much sugar, if that is a thing ;).  

 

Tiny House

When you move from a house over 5000 sq ft to one 1400 sq ft there isn't a lot of room for things.  Let's just say that the kids only have room if they fold up their mattresses.  There is really no reason to set up bed frames and what not because then there really will be no room.  Keeping everything in order in this small space will be a challenge for sure!
