Not Done Yet

Now that the house has been on the market for a few weeks we have gotten some interesting feedback.  The downstairs gets lots of positive comments while the upstairs needs updating.  We were kind of bummed.  We've put a lot of work into the house, and we already gave an allowance for carpet for upstairs.  Well, Jeff and I walked upstairs and picked a couple of projects that we could do that would make a nice impact.
One of the projects was the deck coming off the toy room to the backyard.  The wood was rotted and really not looking good.  I decided to reseat the few loose boards and touch up the paint.  Well, after peeling up the board our issue was much more difficult that just securing a few boards and touching up paint.  We ended up doing all new deck boards and a whole new paint job.  While it was much more work, and money, it turned out very good!  Sandra, Grant, and Talmage were such good helpers!  I really appreciated not doing this job alone.  While I was at it, I also painted the bottom wood on the balcony.  Hopefully this will help the house sell!
