Totaled

The day had come to close on the house and move on with our new life in East Texas.  Jeff and I left for Arlington before the kids, who were a few minutes behind us.  Grant had classes and the kids were going to stay the night for co-op the next day.  While filling up with gas, I got a call from Talmage.  There was an accident!  Luckily, we were still close so just a few minutes later and we found them.  The stop sign was turned perpendicular and Talmage didn't see it.  He crossed into oncoming traffic and was t-boned.  All the kids were in the Expedition.  It was quite stressful to see them all there with the ambulances and fire trucks.  Thankfully, everyone was ok.

Jeff and I postponed the closing to later in the day and we were able to get that done as well as get Grant to class for a test.  We had just paid off that vehicle, and even adjusted the ins on it so we had a lower rate.  Unfortunately, that meant that we didn't have full coverage and we have to replace the vehicle with our own money.

It could have been worse.  There are many blessings to see, even though it was a sad, sad day.
We ended up getting a card from our old ward wishing us well, the girls even got a basket of cookies from their old YW group.  It was very sweet of them! It definitely lifted the kids' spirits!
